Amendment to R.A. No. 573 Re: Philippine Expeditionary Force
Republic Act No. 687, enacted on May 9, 1952, amends Republic Act No. 573 by adding Section 10-A. This new section stipulates that enlistments of men in the Philippine Expeditionary Force will remain valid as long as the force is maintained overseas, unless terminated by the President due to a court-martial sentence. Additionally, it allows for the reenlistment of these enlisted men on the date of their last enlistment. The law took effect immediately upon its approval.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 687
AN ACT TO AMEND REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE
SECTION 1. Republic Act Numbered Five hundred seventy-three is amended by inserting the following section between sections ten and eleven thereof: cd
"Sec. 10-A. The provisions of any law to the contrary notwithstanding, all enlistments of enlisted men serving with the Philippine Expeditionary Force shall continue in force as long as the Philippines continues to maintain the said force overseas, unless sooner terminated by the President pursuant to any approved sentence of a court-martial: Provided, That nothing herein shall operate to prevent the reenlistment of an enlisted man in the Armed Forces of the Philippines on the date of his last enlistment.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect its approval.
