GAB RESOLUTION NO. 2019-01
AMENDING ARTICLE 64 OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING PROFESSIONAL BOXING IN THE PHILIPPINES ON COMPENSATION/FEES TO BE PAID BY THE PROMOTER TO THE RING OFFICIALS FOR PROFESSIONAL BOXING BOUTS
QUOTED hereunder is the Resolution adopted by the Board during its 1st Regular Meeting for CY 2019 held on February 19, 2019, to wit: HSAcaE
WHEREAS, under Article 64 of the Rules and Regulations Governing Professional Boxing in the Philippines, minimum recommended fees shall be paid by the promoter to the ring officials for non-title bouts and at the respective and prevailing scale of the sponsoring organization but shall not be lower than the rates established for Philippine championship/title-fights;
WHEREAS, there is a need to continually improve emoluments of professional boxing ring officials to keep them engaged and motivated in providing quality, safe, effective and fair officiating;
WHEREAS, on January 25, 2019, the Board conducted a consultative meeting with the officers and members of the Association of Philippine Professional Boxing Ring Officials (APPBRO) and the Philippine Promoters and Managers Association (PPMA) who mutually agreed to adjust the compensation of boxing ring officials during their official assignments;
WHEREAS, the Board after consultation with boxing stakeholders, deemed it proper to amend Article 64 of the Rules and Regulations Governing Professional Boxing in the Philippines to enhance the integrity and ensure fairness in professional boxing in the country; AScHCD
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED, that Article 64 of the Rules and Regulations Governing Professional Boxing in the Philippines, as amended by Resolution No. 2017-02, s. 2017, be further amended to read as follows, to wit:
"ARTICLE 64. COMPENSATIONS. —
A. Ring officials compensation to be paid by the promoter:
1. The following minimum recommended fees shall be paid by the promoter to the ring officials for non-title bouts:
Judges (each/bout) 4 rounds — P300.00
Judges (each/bout) 6 rounds — 450.00
Judges (each/bout) 8 rounds — 600.00
Judges (each/bout) 10 rounds — 750.00
Referee (per bout) 4 rounds — 400.00
Referee (per bout) 6 rounds — 600.00
Referee (per bout) 8 rounds — 800.00
Referee (per bout) 10 rounds — 1,000.00
Knockdown Timekeeper — 2,000.00
Contest Timekeeper — 2,000.00
Ringside Physician (each) — 3,500.00
Ring Announcer (each) — 2,000.00
2. In the event of Philippine championship/title-fight, ring officials shall be paid by the promoter at the respective and prevailing scale of the sponsoring organization but shall not be lower than the rates established below: HESIcT
Judges (each/title bout) 12 rounds — P1,000.00
Referee (per title bout) 12 rounds — 1,200.00
Knockdown Timekeeper — 2,500.00
Contest Timekeeper — 2,500.00
Ringside Physician (each) — 4,000.00
Ringside Announcer (each) — 3,000.00
3. In the event of OPBF and other Regional championship/title-fight, ring officials shall be paid by the promoter: caITAC
