Utilization of Communications Allowance Granted under OCA Circular No. 49-2021 Dated 16 April 2021
OCA Circular No. 09-2023 emphasizes the proper use of the communications allowance granted under OCA Circular No. 49-2021 for judges and clerks of court lacking internet connections. The allowance must be dedicated solely to establishing internet services for court operations, which include conducting videoconference hearings, managing e-Subpoena, using Philippine Judiciary 365 (PJ365), and facilitating online transactions such as the JEPS for legal fee payments. Courts are instructed to ensure their internet service has adequate bandwidth to support these functions. Compliance with these directives is mandatory to enhance court efficiency and accessibility.
