TRANSFERRING TO THE PHILIPPINE TOURISM AUTHORITY THE ADMINISTRATION AND CONTROL OVER CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN LOCATED IN THE CITY OF BAGUIO FOR TOURISM PURPOSES

WHEREAS, the Burnham Park Reservation located in Baguio City was ceded and conveyed to the Philippine Tourism Authority by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1762 in cognizance of the need to centralize the planning, management and development of the country's geographical areas imbued with tourism potentials; and

WHEREAS, the inclusion of certain other parcels of land of the public domain adjacent to the Park in the integrated park development scheme is essential to the attainment of the aims and objectives of national tourism planning and policies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby reserve for park and tourism development purposes under the administration and control of the Philippine Tourism Authority, those certain parcels of land of the public domain situated in the City of Baguio and all the improvements thereon, which parcels of land are more particularly described as follows: cdt

A parcel of land situated in the Res. Sec. "A", City of Baguio, Island of Luzon. Bounded on the NE line 7-1-2, by lot 104, Res. Sec. "A" (Philippine Tourism Authority); on the SE along line 2-3-4 by Gov. Pack Road; on the SW along line 4-5; by BGH Circle; on the NW along lines 5-6-7 by Kisad Road. Beginning at a point marked "1" on plan being S. 61 deg. 22 min. W., 286.53 from triangulation station "HAPPY", Baguio Townsite,

The Philippine Tourism Authority shall take immediate possession, administration and control of the parcels of public land above-described; Provided, however, that the Authority may not alienate, mortgage or otherwise encumber the same or any portion thereof; Provided, further, that the Authority shall develop the same solely for tourism purposes.

Any proclamation, decree or executive order inconsistent herewith is hereby revoked or modified accordingly.
