Suspension of Work in Government Offices in the NCR
Memorandum Circular No. 119, issued on September 27, 2006, suspends work in government offices in the National Capital Region on September 29, 2006, following a recommendation from the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC). Essential agencies, particularly those involved in health services, disaster response, emergency services, and other vital public services, are exempt from this suspension and are required to continue operations. The Circular takes effect immediately.

MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 119
Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC), work in government offices in the National Capital Region is hereby suspended on Friday, 29 September 2006.
However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of health services, response to disasters and calamities, emergency services and security, and/or the performance of other vital public services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.
This Circular shall take effect immediately.
