OCA Circular No. 132-09, issued on September 30, 2009, directs presiding judges and clerks of court in the Third and Fourth Judicial Regions, as well as the National Capital Region, to assess the impact of Typhoon Ondoy on lower courts and court personnel. They are required to evaluate the damage to court buildings, records, and properties and determine the needs of affected personnel. A report detailing the actions taken, the condition of the courts, and any assistance provided to employees must be submitted within five days. Additionally, recommendations for further actions with the help of the Office of the Court Administrator are to be included in the report.

To effectively address the concerns of the courts and personnel affected by the typhoon, you are hereby DIRECTED to: (a) DETERMINE the damage on the Hall of Justice/building, court records and properties, as well as the needs of our court personnel affected thereby; and (b) SUBMIT, within five (5) days from notice, a REPORT on the action already taken as regards the condition of the courts, records and properties and assistance if any has been given to the employees; and RECOMMENDATION as to other actions that need to be taken with the assistance of the Office of the Court Administrator. aHcACT
