Second Engineering District Office in Dumalag, Capiz
Republic Act No. 9228, enacted on November 28, 2003, establishes a second engineering district in the Province of Capiz, specifically located in the Municipality of Dumalag. This new district will serve the municipalities of Dumalag, Sigma, Jamindan, Mambusao, Sapian, Tapaz, Cuartero, Dao, Dumarao, and Ivisan, under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways. The Act mandates that the Secretary of the Department includes funding provisions for the operationalization of the district in the subsequent year's budget. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9228
AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE SECOND DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE IN THE PROVINCE OF CAPIZ TO BE LOCATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DUMALAG AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. There shall be established, under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways, a second engineering district in the Province of Capiz, covering the municipalities of Dumalag, Sigma, Jamindan, Mambusao, Sapian, Tapaz, Cuartero, Dao, Dumarao and Ivisan, to be located in the Municipality of Dumalag and to be known as the Capiz Second Engineering District. SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways shall include in its program the funding requirements for the operationalization of the Capiz Second Engineering District in the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
