PROCLAMATION NO. 2239

RESERVING FOR THE USE OF NATIONAL STEEL CORPORATION CERTAIN LANDS OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE CITY OF ILIGAN, ISLAND OF MINDANAO AND AMENDING ANY AND ALL PREVIOUS PRESIDENTIAL PROCLAMATIONS, EXECUTIVE ORDERS AND LETTERS OF THE INSTRUCTIONS INCONSISTENT OR CONTRARY HERETO

WHEREAS, the Government is committed to the expansion program of National Steel Corporation for the construction of an integrated steel plant, one of the priority and major projects of the Government;

WHEREAS, certain lands of the public domain situated in the City of Iligan, consisting of a total area approximately Three Hundred Two Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-two (302,532) Square Meters, and the foreshore area adjacent thereto are urgently required by National Steel Corporation for its expansion program;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby withdrawn from sale or settlement and reserve for the use of and immediate occupation by National Steel Corporation, subject to private rights, if any there be, the following public lands situated in Iligan City; acd
