Reorganizing the Manila Hall of Justice Committee
On June 5, 2010, the Supreme Court of the Philippines issued Memorandum Order No. 29-10, reorganizing the Manila Hall of Justice Committee due to changes in the judiciary personnel. Justice Jose P. Perez was appointed as Chairperson, with Justice Presbitero J. Velasco, Jr. as Co-Chairperson, and a list of members from various judicial and legal backgrounds. The order also allows the Committee to propose the establishment of a Technical Working Group if deemed necessary. This memorandum revokes the earlier Memorandum Order No. 06-2009, which established the Task Force on the Manila Hall of Justice Project, and stipulates that committee members will receive standard expense allowances. The order took effect immediately upon issuance.
