LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 690

Pursuant of Letter of Instructions No. 19 dated 2 October 1972 directing the removal of illegal constructions from public and private lands, you are to relocate the remaining 774 squatter families from the Interim Batasang Pambansa Complex and resettle them at Sapang Palay Resettlement Project or otherwise cause their return to their respective provinces within three months.
For this purpose:
1) The National Housing Authority is directed to prepare 1,000 serviced homelots in Sapang Palay Resettlement Project, and undertake thereat the construction of sanitary cores and complete an adequate water system;
2) The Bureau of Public Works to provide technical assistance in the installation of an adequate water system in the area; and
3) The Budget Commission to release from the Special Activities Fund of the Office of the President the amount of Three Million Nine Hundred Eighty Thousand Pesos (P3,980,000.00) broken down as follows:
