Reappropriation of Sums Under R.A. No. 1900

Republic Act No. 3294, enacted on June 18, 1961, reappropriates specific funds initially allocated in Republic Act No. 1900 for various infrastructure projects in Manila. The act reallocates a total of 70,000 pesos for purposes including the construction of a Social Welfare Administration Building and improvements on Arellano and Diamante Streets. The funds previously designated for other projects, such as street improvements and a puericulture center, are redirected to these new initiatives. This law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3294

AN ACT REAPPROPRIATING CERTAIN SUMS APPROPRIATED IN REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED NINETEEN HUNDRED

SECTION 1. The sums appropriated in items (g) and (af ), pages 119 and 121, respectively, subparagraph 70 for the City of Manila, paragraph, "a", Title B, Section one of Republic Act Numbered Nineteen hundred, to wit: cd i

"(g) Marques de Comillas (NaC) Street, from Oregon to Isaac Peral and around Paco Cemetery Improvement and paving P25,000.00
"(af) Esguerra Street, Aua-Marina Section, San Andres Subdivision 15,000.00

and the sums appropriated in items (e) and (g) page 323 and item ( j), page 324, all under Group IV, subparagraph (29) for the City of Manila, paragraph" f Section two of the same Act, to wit:

"(e) Sases Puericulture Center General improvement P10,000.00
"(g) Waiting Shed in Herran and Calderon Streets, Sta. Ana Construction 10,000.00
"( j) Jose Rizal Monument, De la Peña Paco Construction 10,000.00"

totalling seventy thousand pesos, are hereby reappropriated, for the following purposes: cd i

(1) Social Welfare Administration Building, Kansas St., Malate Construction 53,000.00
(2) Arellano Street — from Diamante to Esguerra Ext., and Diamante Street — from Pasig Line to Arellano Improvement 17,000.00

SECTION 2 .This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
