LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 1216

You are hereby directed to study and submit to the Cabinet and the Batasang Pambansa within thirty (30) days from the signing of this Order a detailed proposal on the reallocation of a certain portion of the travel tax collections from contract workers for the following purposes: cd
a) strengthening of the administrative machinery for overseas employment and contracting; cd
b) welfare and other assistance and services to contract workers and their families; and
c) such other activities as will enhance the program and promote the general welfare of the workers.
In undertaking the study, you may call upon any government office or instrumentality to enlist their assistance as appropriate. aisa dc
