LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 1217

You are hereby directed to constitute yourselves into a Committee with the Minister of Labor and Employment as Chairman to undertake the following: aisa dc
1) Establish a One-Stop Processing Center to simplify and expedite the processing and documentation of work and travel papers of contract workers for deployment overseas, consistent with the basic objectives of the national overseas employment and contracting program; and
2) Establish a Labor Assistance Center at the Manila International Airport to assist and facilitate the deployment and reception of contract workers overseas, monitor such development and provide appropriate advice to workers and foreign principals/employers on employment, travel and recruitment procedures.
You are also hereby directed to establish these facilities within thirty days and submit a report on the implementation of this directive.
