Republic Act No. 8231, enacted on November 10, 1996, establishes the Langiden National High School in the Municipality of Langiden, Province of Abra, under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. The Act mandates the Secretary of Education to ensure the school is operational by the first school year following its enactment. Funding for the school's establishment will be included in the General Appropriations Act of the subsequent year. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8231

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LANGIDEN, PROVINCE OF ABRA, TO BE KNOWN AS THE LANGIDEN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1.  There shall be established under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, a national high school in the Municipality of Langiden, Province of Abra, to be known as the Langiden National High School. cd

SECTION 2.  The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall implement this Act so as to make the national high school in operation during the first school year after the effectivity of this Act.

SECTION 3.  The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
