Batas Pambansa Blg. 153, enacted on February 8, 1982, converts the San Juan Municipal High School in Abra into the Northern Abra National High School, which will offer a general secondary curriculum, vocational courses, and other technological programs. The Minister of Education and Culture is authorized to reorganize the school as necessary. An initial budget of two hundred thousand pesos for the school's operation will be sourced from existing appropriations, with future funding to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act starting in 1983. The law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on November 1, 1982.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE SAN JUAN MUNICIPAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JUAN, PROVINCE OF ABRA, INTO A NATIONAL SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE NORTHERN ABRA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The San Juan Municipal High School in the Municipality of San Juan, Province of Abra, is hereby converted into a national school to be known as the Northern Abra National High School. Said school shall offer general secondary curriculum, vocational curriculum and other technological courses.
SECTION 2. The Minister of Education and Culture is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly.
SECTION 3. The amount of two hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be charged to the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 80 and Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 for the Ministry of Education and Culture intended for new national schools. Starting Calendar Year 1983 such sum as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the school shall be provided in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
