REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11326
AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF THE SOUTHERN PHILIPPINES MEDICAL CENTER IN DAVAO CITY FROM ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED (1,200) TO ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED (1,500) BEDS, UPGRADING ITS PROFESSIONAL HEALTH CARE SERVICES AND FACILITIES, AUTHORIZING THE INCREASE OF ITS MEDICAL PERSONNEL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The authorized bed capacity of the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) is hereby increased from one thousand two hundred (1,200) to one thousand five hundred (1,500) beds. The increase in bed capacity shall be implemented consistent with the development plan of the hospital.
SECTION 2. The existing hospital facilities and professional health care services of the SPMC are also hereby upgraded and increased to conform with and be commensurate to the increase in bed capacity.
SECTION 3. Upon prior consultation with the SPMC, the Department of Health shall, in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management and the Civil Service Commission, determine the additional plantilla positions to be created pursuant to this Act.
SECTION 4. The Secretary of Health shall immediately include in the Department's program the implementation of this Act, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. acEHCD
SECTION 5. If any provision or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 6. Section 3 of Republic Act No. 1859, as amended, is hereby further intended accordingly. All other laws, decrees, orders, issuance, rules and regulations, or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly.
SECTION 7. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
