PROCLAMATION NO. 2211

FURTHER EXTENDING THE NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE METRO MANILA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, INC.

WHEREAS, the Metro Manila Community Development Foundation Inc. was authorized under Proclamation No. 1766 dated August 11, 1978 to conduct a national fund campaign;

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 1906 dated October 2, 1979, and later Proclamation No. 2081 dated April 21, 1981, extended the national fund campaign of the Metro Manila Community Development Foundation, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, the Foundation needs more time to enable it to realize its fund campaign goal;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend the national fund campaign of the Metro Manila Community Development Foundation, Inc. for another year from date hereof. casia

I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines and government and private corporations to give generously of their means to this laudable undertaking. This fund campaign is hereby exempted from the provisions of LOI 828, No. 2(c).

All donations or contributions to the Foundation shall be exempt from income and gift taxes, and the same shall further be deductible in full and shall not be included for purposes of commuting the maximum amount deductible under Section 30, paragraph (h) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
