Establishment of Roxas Memorial National Agricultural and Industrial School in Roxas, Isabela

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2652

AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL AND INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROXAS, PROVINCE OF ISABELA, TO BE KNOWN AS THE ROXAS MEMORIAL NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL AND INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. There shall be established, under the direct supervision of the Director of Public Schools, a national agricultural and industrial school in the Municipality of Roxas, Province of Isabela, at a site to be selected by said Director, to be known as the Roxas Memorial National Agricultural and Industrial School. Said school shall be of the Central Luzon Agricultural College type.

SECTION 2. Upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Schools, the President of the Philippines shall set aside and reserve such portion of the public lands located within the Municipality of Roxas, Province of Isabela, as may be necessary and convenient for the establishment of the school and farm sites.

SECTION 3. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of the said school during the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-one. Thereafter, the necessary sum of such purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. cdt
