Republic Act No. 4345, enacted on June 19, 1965, merges the School for Philippine Craftsmen and the Lucban Municipal Junior High School in Quezon into a new institution called Lucban National High School. This new national high school will offer general secondary courses and will operate under the supervision of the Director of Public Schools. The act provides for the transfer of all assets and liabilities from the merged schools and ensures that current teachers and employees are retained, subject to civil service regulations. Additionally, it allocates a budget of 150,000 pesos for the school's maintenance and operation, with future funding to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4345

AN ACT MERGING THE SCHOOL FOR PHILIPPINE CRAFTSMEN AND THE LUCBAN MUNICIPAL JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL, BOTH IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LUCBAN, PROVINCE OF QUEZON, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND TRANSFERRING THERETO THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS AUTHORIZED TO BE APPROPRIATED UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED THIRTY-FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY

SECTION 1. The school for Philippine craftsmen created under Republic Act Numbered Thirty-five hundred and thirty and the Lucban Municipal Junior High School both in the Municipality of Lucban, Province of Quezon, are hereby merged into a national high school to be known as Lucban National High School under the direct supervision of the Director of Public Schools.

SECTION 2. The said national high school shall offer general secondary courses.

SECTION 3. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to promulgate rules and regulations in connection with the operation and administration of the said national high school.

SECTION 4. All assets and liabilities of the aforesaid school for Philippine craftsmen as well as those of the Lucban Municipal Junior High School are hereby transferred to the Lucban National High School. cd

SECTION 5. Subject to civil service laws and regulations, all teachers and employees now employed by the Lucban Municipal Junior High School shall be retained upon merging of the aforesaid two schools into a national high school: Provided, That all teachers and employees to be employed by the Lucban National High School shall receive their compensation in accordance with the classification to be made by the Wage and Position Classification Office.

SECTION 6. The sum of one hundred fifty thousand pesos authorized to be appropriated under Republic Act Numbered Thirty-five hundred and thirty out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, is hereby transferred to Lucban National High School for its maintenance and operation. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 7. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. cd
