PRC BOARD FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS RESOLUTION NO. 003-16

DESIGNATION OF JOLO, SULU AND TAWI-TAWI AS ADDITIONAL TESTING CENTERS FOR THE MARCH 2016 BOARD LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS (BLEPT)

WHEREAS, the Professional Regulation Commission, pursuant to Section 7 (d) of Republic Act No. 8981 or the PRC Modernization Act of 2000, is vested with the power to administer and conduct the licensure examinations of the various regulatory boards in accordance with the rules and regulation it may promulgate to determine and fix the places and dates of examinations, . . .;

WHEREAS, in the exercise of this mandate, the Commission issued Resolution Nos. 2015-948 and 2015-961 (A) fixing the dates and places of the professional licensure examinations for the calendar year 2016, with the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) scheduled on March 20, 2016 in the Cities of Manila, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Rosales, Pangasinan, Antique and in all PRC Regional Offices;

WHEREAS, PRC Resolution No. 2012-675 prescribes the guidelines in the designation of additional testing centers for the BLEPT;

WHEREAS, the Commission has received requests from Sulu Provincial Governor Abdusakur A. Tan II and Tawi-Tawi Provincial Governor Nurbert M. Sahali to consider their provinces as additional testing centers for the March 2016 BLEPT;

WHEREAS, the PRC Regional Office in Pagadian City, in its letters dated January 4 and 14, 2016, has favourably endorsed the approval of the above requests.

NOW THEREFORE, finding that the conditions set forth in PRC Resolution No. 2012-675 have been duly complied with, the Professional Regulatory Board for Professional Teachers (Board) RESOLVES, as it hereby RESOLVED, to designate Jolo, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi, as additional testing centers for the March 2016 BLEPT, with the approval of the Commission.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that necessary coordination be undertaken by the appropriate offices/divisions of the Commission to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of the BLEPT in these testing centers. ICHDca
