Declaring Tuesday, January 20, 2009, as Special (Non-Working) Day in the City of Lipa
Proclamation No. 1707, issued on January 13, 2009, declares January 20, 2009, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Lipa, in honor of its city fiesta celebrating patron saint St. Sebastian. This proclamation allows the residents of Lipa to fully engage in the festivities and ceremonies associated with the occasion. The declaration was made by Executive Secretary Eduardo R. Ermita under the authority of then-President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. The proclamation was officially published in the Official Gazette on March 16, 2009.

DECLARING TUESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF LIPA
WHEREAS, the City of Lipa celebrates the city fiesta in honor of its patron saint, St. Sebastian on Tuesday, January 20, 2009; CHTcSE
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lipa, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Tuesday, January 20, 2009, as special (non-working) day in the City of Lipa.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
