PROCLAMATION NO. 1960
DECLARING THE YEAR 2010 AS THE CENTENNIAL YEAR OF THE RECONSTITUTION OF THE TOWN OF SOLSONA, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE
WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 135, dated December 21, 1909 reestablished Solsona into a municipality before being annexed to the Municipality of Dingras, in the Province of Ilocos Norte; SDEHCc
WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 135, dated December 21, 1909, came into effect in January 1, 1910;
WHEREAS, the year 2010 marks the centennial year of the reconstitution of the Solsona, Ilocos Norte into a municipality;
WHEREAS, it is essential that the people of Solsona give due recognition to this occasion through meaningful celebrations and rekindle their rich historical and cultural heritage.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim the year 2010 as the centennial year of the reconstitution of the Town of Solsona, Province of Ilocos Norte.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 8th day of December, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Nine.
