WHEREAS, the residents of Davao City should be given opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their city's history with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, March 16, 1982 as a non-working special holiday in Davao City.
