DECLARING MONDAY, APRIL 6, 1984, AS "MARIKINA DAY" IN MARIKINA, METROPOLITAN MANILA
WHEREAS, Monday, April 16, 1984 marks the 354th anniversary of the creation of the municipality of Marikina, Metropolitan Manila; and
WHEREAS, the people of the municipality of Marikina should be afforded the opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their town's history with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, April 16, 1984 as "Marikina Day". The day, however, shall be a regular working and school day. casia
