WHEREAS, the people of the municipality of Marikina should be afforded the opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their town's history with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, April 16, 1985 as a special public non-working holiday in Marikina.
