Declaration of February 16 as Caloocan City Day

Republic Act No. 7550, approved on May 22, 1992, designates February 16 of each year as Caloocan City Day, a special nonworking holiday in Caloocan City, Metro Manila. The law encourages the city government and its residents to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies and activities that benefit the community. The Act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on July 6, 1992.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7550

AN ACT DECLARING FEBRUARY 16 OF EVERY YEAR AS CALOOCAN CITY DAY, A SPECIAL NONWORKING HOLIDAY IN CALOOCAN CITY, METRO MANILA

SECTION 1. February 16 of every year is hereby declared as Caloocan City Day.

SECTION 2. February 16 of every year shall be a special nonworking holiday in Caloocan City, Metro Manila, and the city government and people therein are urged to celebrate the occasion with fitting ceremonies, activities and programs that are beneficial to all concerned. cd

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
