Creation of Task Force for Validation of San Roque Multi-Purpose Dam Project ( Memorandum Order No. 234-A )

MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 234-A

CREATING A TASK FORCE TO ASSIST THE SOCIETA' ITALIANA PER CONDOTTE D'ACQUA S.P.A. IN THE VALIDATION STUDY OF THE SAN ROQUE MULTI-PURPOSE DAM PROJECT

There is hereby created a Task Force to assist the Societa' Italiana Per CondotteD'Acqua S.P.A. (Condotte) in the validation study of the San Roque Multi-Purpose Dam Project and to package the project for implementation under the Build Operate and Transfer scheme or its other variations. The Task Force, chaired by the representative of the Secretary, Department of Energy, shall be composed of senior representatives, preferably of the rank of at least Assistant Secretary or its equivalent, from the following departments/agencies:

1. Province of Pangasinan — Co-Chairman

2. National Power Corporation — as the lead implementing agency

3. Department of Environment and Natural Resources

4. Department of Public Works and Highways

5. Department of Finance

6. National Economic Development Authority

7. National Irrigation Administration

8. Coordinating Council of the Philippine Assistance Program

9. Presidential Committee on Flagship Programs and Projects

10. Philippine National Bank

The Task Force shall make available all the necessary data in order for Condotte to accomplish its validation study.

The Task Force is hereby authorized to call on any department, bureau, or agency of the government including local government units and government owned or controlled corporation, for assistance as it may need in the accomplishment of its task.

The Department of Energy, the National Power Corporation and the Province of Pangasinan shall provide the Secretariat support for the Task Force.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
