Creation of Municipality of Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3824
AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAGUINDINGAN IN THE PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL
SECTION 1. The barrios of Aromahon, Gasi, Kibaghot, Laguindingan, Liberty, Mauswagon, Moog, Sambulawan, Sinai and Tubajon are hereby separated from the Municipality of Alubijid, Province of Misamis Oriental, and constituted into a new municipality of the same province to be known as the Municipality of Laguindingan.
SECTION 2. The boundaries of the Municipality of Laguindingan are as follows: casia
"Beginning at point marked "1" on plan which is N 15º 42' E, 10,060.00 meters from BLLM No. 2 located at Barrio Lourdes, thence S 44º 53' W, 1,258.00 meters to point "2" thence S 15º 39' W, 1651.00 meters to point "3" thence S 39º 52' W, 672.00 meters to point "4" thence S 15º 39' W, 972.50 meters to point "5" thence S 1º 58' W, 911.30 meters to point "6" thence S 17º 55' W, 3,214.00 meters to point "7" thence S 13º 50' W, 342.90 meters to point "8" thence following the old Alubijid-Gitagum boundary (Natural) N 15º 00' W, 3,800.00 meters to point "9" thence N 18º 00' W, 5,800 meters to point "10" thence following the natural shore line, approximately 9,710.00 meters to point of beginning."
SECTION 3. The first mayor, vice-mayor and councilors of the municipality shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments and shall continue in office until their successors shall have been elected in the next election for local officials and shall have qualified.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. aisa dc
