Creation of Municipality of Gigmoto, Catanduanes

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 614
AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF GIGMOTO IN THE PROVINCE OF CATANDUANES
SECTION 1. The barrios of Sicmil and Sioron of the municipality of Viga and the barrios of San Vicente, Gigmoto, Biong and Dororian of the municipality of Baras of the Province of Catanduanes, are separated from said municipalities and constituted into a new municipality to be known as the municipality of Gigmoto.
SECTION 2. The elective officials of the new municipality shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines and shall hold office until their successors shall have been elected and qualified. cdt
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
