Conversion of Matalam Municipal High School in Matalam, North Cotabato Into a National High School

Batas Pambansa Blg. 470, enacted on June 10, 1983, converts the Matalam Municipal High School in North Cotabato into a national high school, now named Matalam National High School. The law appropriates an initial funding of one hundred thousand pesos for its operation, sourced from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports' budget for new national high schools. Additionally, ongoing operational and maintenance costs will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on April 9, 1984.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE MATALAM MUNICIPAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MATALAM, PROVINCE OF NORTH COTABATO, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE MATALAM NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Matalam Municipal High School in the Municipality of Matalam, Province of North Cotabato, is converted into a national high school to be known as the Matalam National High School.

SECTION 2. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Bilang 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools and an additional amount corresponding to fifty percent of its share in the budgetary aid actually paid to it before such conversion shall be released for its operation from the national assistance fund to local schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. acd

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
