Conversion of Maripipi Comprehensive National School in Leyte into Maripipi National Vocational School
Republic Act No. 6162, enacted on November 9, 1970, converts the Maripipi Comprehensive National School in Leyte into the Maripipi National Vocational School. The school will provide a general education curriculum with practical arts in the first two years, followed by a vocational education curriculum in the third and fourth years. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6162
AN ACT CONVERTING MARIPIPI COMPREHENSIVE NATIONAL SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIPIPI, PROVINCE OF LEYTE, INTO A NATIONAL VOCATIONAL SCHOOL, TO BE KNOWN AS MARIPIPI NATIONAL VOCATIONAL SCHOOL
SECTION 1. The Maripipi Comprehensive National School in the Municipality of Maripipi, Province of Leyte, is hereby converted into a national vocational school to be known as Maripipi National Vocational School: Provided, however, That only a general education curriculum with practical arts shall be offered in the first and second years, and the vocational education curriculum shall be offered in the third and fourth years: Provided, further, That the school shall offer short vocational courses for training in vocations needed in the locality which shall be open to elementary school graduates: Provided, finally, That the school shall open, as soon as feasible, two-year post secondary technical courses. cd
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
