Conversion of Maningalao Barangay High School in Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte into Maningalao High School

Republic Act No. 8274, enacted on March 3, 1997, transforms the Maningalao Barangay High School in Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte, into a national high school named Maningalao High School. It mandates the transfer of all assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment, and records from the barangay high school to the new national institution. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports is authorized to create necessary rules and regulations for implementation. Funding for this conversion will be allocated in the General Appropriations Act for the following year and thereafter. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8274

AN ACT CONVERTING THE MANINGALAO BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL IN LAS NIEVES, AGUSAN DEL NORTE, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The barangay high school of Barangay Maningalao in the Municipality of Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Maningalao High School.

SECTION 2. Upon organization of Maningalao High School, all assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the Maningalao Barangay High School shall be transferred to the Maningalao High School.

SECTION 3. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby empowered to promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

SECTION 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
