Conversion of Luzviminda Barangay High School in Puerto Princesa City into Luzviminda National High School
Republic Act No. 8264, enacted on February 16, 1997, converts the Luzviminda Barangay High School in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, into the Luzviminda National High School. The Act mandates the Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports to issue necessary rules for its implementation. It transfers all assets, personnel, and records from the barangay school to the newly established national high school. Funding for this conversion will be included in the General Appropriations Act in the subsequent year. The law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on May 5, 1997.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE EXISTING LUZVIMINDA BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF PUERTO PRINCESA, PROVINCE OF PALAWAN, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE LUZVIMINDA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The existing Luzviminda Barangay High School in the City of Puerto Princesa, Province of Palawan, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Luzviminda National High School.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue the necessary rules, orders and circulars to implement the provisions of this Act.
SECTION 3. All personnel, records, assets and properties including buildings, sites, and improvements thereof, obligations, funds and appropriations of the Luzviminda Barangay High School are hereby transferred to the Luzviminda National High School.
SECTION 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter. cd
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
