Conversion of Domingo Lacson High School in Bacolod City Into Domingo Lacson National High School
Batas Pambansa Blg. 371, enacted on April 7, 1983, converts the Domingo Lacson High School in Bacolod City into the Domingo Lacson National High School. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with overseeing the conversion and operation of the school. An initial funding of one hundred thousand pesos is allocated from previously authorized appropriations, with the local government responsible for additional maintenance costs. Future operational funds will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. This Act took effect upon its approval.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE DOMINGO LACSON HIGH SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF BACOLOD INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE DOMINGO LACSON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Domingo Lacson High School in the City of Bacolod is converted into a national high school, to be known as the Domingo Lacson National High School.
SECTION 2. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is directed to take such steps as are necessary for the conversion and operation of the school and immediate implementation of this Act. cd
SECTION 3. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 and Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools: Provided, That the local government unit concerned shall continue to provide funding for its share of the cost of maintenance and operation of the school. Thereafter, the amount needed for the operation and maintenance of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
