Batas Pambansa Blg. 372, enacted on April 7, 1983, converts Bacolod City High School into Bacolod City National High School. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with overseeing the conversion and operation of the new national high school. An initial appropriation of one hundred thousand pesos is allocated for its operation, funded through previous laws, while the local government is responsible for ongoing maintenance costs. Future operational funding will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on March 5, 1984.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BACOLOD CITY HIGH SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF BACOLOD INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE BACOLOD CITY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Bacolod City High School in the City of Bacolod is converted into a national high school, to be known as the Bacolod City National High School.
SECTION 2. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is directed to take such steps as are necessary for the conversion and operation of the school and immediate implementation of this Act.
SECTION 3. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 and Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools: Provided, That the local government unit concerned shall continue to provide funding for its share in the cost of maintenance and operation of the school. Thereafter, the amount needed for the operation and maintenance of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
