REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5194
AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE THIRD REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT OF THE PROVINCE OF LEYTE INTO A SEPARATE ENGINEERING DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. Any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, the Third Representative District of the Province of Leyte is hereby constituted into a separate engineering district, with its office at the Municipality of Villaba; Provided, That the existing engineering district in the Subprovince of Biliran which is also situated in the Third Representative District, shall remain a distinct and separate entity.
The district engineer for said engineering district shall be appointed in accordance with existing laws.
SECTION 2. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the purposes of this Act. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the same purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. cdt
