PROCLAMATION NO. 1479
DECLARING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PLARIDEL, BULACAN
WHEREAS, Wednesday, April 23, 2008, marks the commemoration of the Battle of Quingua which took place in 1899; HIaSDc
WHEREAS, the Battle of Quingua, wherein the Filipino forces were under the command of General Gregorio del Pilar, was one of the most significant victories of the Filipinos in the war; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan be given full opportunity to commemorate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, IGNACIO R. BUNYE, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Wednesday, April 23, 2008, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan. ISCaDH
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
