AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE, AND OPERATION OF MEDICAL, FIRE-FIGHTING, CRASH, RESCUE STATIONS, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER FACILITIES NEEDED BY AIRPORTS, AND OTHER PURPOSES

SECTION 1. The following sums or so much thereof as may be necessary are hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the acquisition, construction, maintenance and operation of fire-fighting facilities in airports under the jurisdiction of the Civil Aeronautics Administration: acd

Provided, That the Civil Aeronautics Administrator may use any savings in the appropriation for equipment, representing the difference between the amount appropriated and actual cost, to increase the appropriation for other equipment, and may use any savings in sundry expenses for any airport to augment the appropriations for sundry expenses for such other airport or airports as in his judgment shall require the use of such savings.

SECTION 2. The sum of one hundred ninety-six thousand four hundred pesos or so much thereof as may be necessary is hereby authorized to be appropriated annually commencing with the fiscal year nineteen hundred and fifty-three to nineteen hundred and fifty-four (July 1, 1953 to June 30, 1954), and every fiscal year thereafter, for the purpose of continuing the activities authorized under the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 3. The balances of the funds appropriated in this act for personnel and sundry expenses remaining unexpended on June 30, 1953, shall be reverted to the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund in the National Treasury. cd i

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
