An Act to Appropriate Funds for Public Works and Permanent Improvements In The Mountain Province and The Province of Nueva Vizcaya

AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR PUBLIC WORKS AND PERMANENT IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MOUNTAIN PROVINCE AND THE PROVINCE OF NUEVA VIZCAYA

SECTION 1. There are hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the fiscal year ending December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and seventeen, the following sums or so much thereof as may be respectively necessary:

(a)	For public works and permanent improvements in
	the Mountain Province, as follows:
	Construction, repair, and maintenance of roads and
	bridges, in the discretion of the Secretary of
	Commerce and Communications	P130,000.00
	Maintenance and repair of the Naguilian
	Baguio highway	45,000.00
	Construction and repair of schools, hospitals, and
	public buildings for provincial governments, and
	for other purposes, in the discretion of the
	Secretary of the Interior	50,000.00
(b)	For public works and permanent improvements
	in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya, in the
	discretion of the Secretary of Commerce and
	Communications	50,000.00

SECTION 2. All balances of the several appropriations made by this Act unexpended on June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and eighteen, shall revert to the unappropriated funds in the Insular Treasury and thereafter shall not be available for withdrawal or expenditure except upon appropriation by the Legislature.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
