An Act Separating the Valladolid National High School Extension in the Municipality of Carcar, Province of Cebu, from the Valladolid National High School and Converting It into an Independent National High School to be Known as the Valencia National Vocational High School, and Appropriating Funds Therefor
Republic Act No. 8587, enacted on March 2, 1998, establishes the Valencia National Vocational High School in Carcar, Cebu, by separating it from the Valladolid National High School Extension. The Act mandates the transfer of all personnel, assets, liabilities, and records from the extension to the new school. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with issuing the necessary regulations for implementation. Funding for the new school will initially come from the Valladolid National High School's appropriations and will be included in future annual budgets. AN ACT SEPARATING THE VALLADOLID NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL EXTENSION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CARCAR, PROVINCE OF CEBU, FROM THE VALLADOLID NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE VALENCIA NATIONAL VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Valladolid National High School Extension in Barangay Valencia, Municipality of Carcar, Province of Cebu, is hereby separated from the Valladolid National High School in the Municipality of Carcar, and converted into an independent national high school to be known as the Valencia National Vocational High School.
SECTION 2. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.
SECTION 3. All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Valladolid National High School Extension are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Valencia National Vocational High School.
SECTION 4. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Valladolid National High School-Barangay Valencia Annex. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Valencia National Vocational High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
