An Act Separating the Sibonga National High School Extension in the Municipality of Sibonga, Province of Cebu, from the Sibonga National High School and Converting It into an Independent National High School to be Known as the Teodoro dela Vega National High School, and Appropriating Funds Therefor
Republic Act No. 8521, enacted on February 13, 1998, establishes the Teodoro dela Vega National High School in Barangay Papan, Municipality of Sibonga, Cebu, by separating it from the Sibonga National High School. The law mandates the Department of Education, Culture and Sports to issue necessary regulations for its implementation. All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records from the former extension will be transferred to the new school. Initial funding will come from the current year's budget of the Sibonga National High School - Papan Annex, with future operational costs included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval.

AN ACT SEPARATING THE SIBONGA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL EXTENSION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SIBONGA, PROVINCE OF CEBU, FROM THE SIBONGA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE TEODORO DELA VEGA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Sibonga National High School Extension in Barangay Papan, Municipality of Sibonga, Province of Cebu, is hereby separated from the Sibonga National High School in the Municipality of Sibonga, and converted into an independent national high school to be known as the Teodoro dela Vega National High School.
SECTION 2. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.
SECTION 3. All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Sibonga National High School Extension are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Teodoro dela Vega National High School.
SECTION 4. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Sibonga National High School - Papan Annex. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Teodoro dela Vega National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
