An Act Separating the Guindaruhan National High School Extension in the Municipality of Minglanilla, Province of Cebu, from the Guindaruhan National High School and Converting It into an Independent National High School to be Known as the Tulay National High School, and Appropriating Funds Therefor
Republic Act No. 8586, enacted on March 2, 1998, establishes the Tulay National High School as an independent institution, separating it from the Guindaruhan National High School in Minglanilla, Cebu. The Act mandates the transfer of all personnel, assets, liabilities, and records from the Guindaruhan extension to the newly formed school. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with issuing necessary regulations for the implementation of this law. Funding for the school will be allocated from the current appropriations of the Guindaruhan National High School, with future operational costs included in the annual budget. AN ACT SEPARATING THE GUINDARUHAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL EXTENSION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MINGLANILLA, PROVINCE OF CEBU, FROM THE GUINDARUHAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE TULAY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Guindaruhan National High School Extension in Barangay Tulay, Municipality of Minglanilla, Province of Cebu, is hereby separated from the Guindaruhan National High School in the Municipality of Minglanilla, and converted into an independent national high school to be known as the Tulay National High School.
SECTION 2. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.
SECTION 3. All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Guindaruhan National High School Extension are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Tulay National High School.
SECTION 4. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Guindaruhan National High School-Barangay Tulay Extension. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Tulay National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
