Republic Act No. 9094, approved on April 8, 2001, designates January 7 of each year as a special working public holiday in the Province of Camiguin. This day is to commemorate the anniversary of Camiguin's charter. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette.

AN ACT DECLARING THE SEVENTH (7th) DAY OF JANUARY OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR THE PROVINCE OF CAMIGUIN, TO BE KNOWN AS "ARAW NG CAMIGUIN"
SECTION 1. January seven of every year is hereby declared as a special working public holiday in the Province of Camiguin to commemorate its charter day anniversary.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
