Republic Act No. 9068, approved on April 8, 2001, designates November 5 of each year as "Remembrance Day" in Ormoc City, Leyte, marking the anniversary of the tragic events of November 5, 1991. AN ACT DECLARING NOVEMBER 5 OF EVERY YEAR AS "REMEMBRANCE DAY IN ORMOC CITY" A REGULAR WORKING HOLIDAY IN ORMOC CITY, TO COMMEMORATE THE NOVEMBER 5, 1991 TRAGEDY

SECTION 1. November 5 of every year is hereby declared as "Remembrance Day in Ormoc City", a regular working holiday for the City of Ormoc, Province of Leyte. CHATEa

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in at least two (2) national newspaper of general circulation.
