This conversion includes an increase in its capacity to 100 beds, with the provision that current provincial funding support continues. The DOH is tasked with creating the necessary rules and regulations for the Act's implementation. The required funding will be included in the General Appropriations Act following the Act's enactment. This law took effect upon its approval, having lapsed into law without the President's signature as per constitutional provisions.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BASILAN PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ISABELA, PROVINCE OF BASILAN, INTO A TERTIARY HOSPITAL UNDER THE FULL ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL SUPERVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, INCREASING ITS CAPACITY TO ONE HUNDRED (100) BEDS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Basilan Provincial Hospital in the Municipality of Isabela, Province of Basilan, is hereby converted into a tertiary hospital which shall be under the full administrative and technical supervision of the Department of Health (DOH): Provided, That the present funding support of the province is continued.
SECTION 2. The Department of Health shall promulgate the rules and regulations necessary for the effective implementation of this Act.
SECTION 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter. prcd
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
