Republic Act No. 8527, enacted on February 14, 1998, increases the bed capacity of the Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center Extension Hospital in Talavera, Nueva Ecija, from 10 to 50 beds. The hospital will operate under the full administrative and technical supervision of the Department of Health. Funding for this expansion will be allocated in the General Appropriations Act, separate from the Department of Health's budget. The act takes effect upon its approval.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8527

AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF DR. PAULINO J. GARCIA MEMORIAL RESEARCH AND MEDICAL CENTER EXTENSION HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TALAVERA, PROVINCE OF NUEVA ECIJA, FROM TEN (10) BEDS TO FIFTY (50) BEDS CAPACITY, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The bed capacity of the Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center Extension Hospital in the Municipality of Talavera, Province of Nueva Ecija, shall be increased from ten (10) beds to fifty (50) beds capacity. Said extension hospital shall be under the full administrative and technical supervision of the Department of Health.

SECTION 2. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act separate and distinct from the budget of the Department of Health of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
