Amendments to Act No. 3443
Act No. 3944, approved on November 29, 1932, amends previous legislation related to the establishment and operation of seed farms in the Philippines. It allocates fifty thousand pesos from the Insular Treasury for the development of seed farms and experiment stations focused on various staple crops, including rice, corn, and sugar cane. The funds will be managed by the Director of Plant Industry, with the Secretary of Agriculture's approval, and can be used for personnel salaries, equipment, and necessary land. Importantly, any unspent funds at the end of the fiscal year will remain available for these purposes, and income generated from the sale of farm products will contribute to a revolving fund for ongoing operations.
