Conversion of Cebu South Provincial High School into Cebu South National High School
Republic Act No. 3443, enacted on June 18, 1961, converts the Cebu South Provincial High School into the Cebu South National High School, which will offer a comprehensive curriculum encompassing both academic and vocational courses. The Secretary of Education is granted the authority to reorganize the school accordingly, and all assets and records from the provincial school will be transferred to the new national institution. An appropriation of one hundred thousand pesos is authorized for the school's operation and maintenance for the fiscal years 1961-1962, with future funding to be included in annual General Appropriation Acts. The Act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on July 16, 1962.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3443
AN ACT CONVERTING THE CEBU SOUTH PROVINCIAL HIGH SCHOOL INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE CEBU SOUTH NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Cebu South Provincial High School is hereby converted into a national high school, to be known as the Cebu South National High School. Comprehensive curriculum which includes both academic and vocational courses shall be offered. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize the said school accordingly.
Upon organization of the Cebu South National High School, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the Cebu South Provincial High School shall stand transferred to the Cebu South National High School.
SECTION 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said school for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-one and nineteen hundred sixty-two. Thereafter, the necessary sum for the operation of the said school shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. cd
