Amendment to R.A. No. 4755 (Creation of Tarragona, Davao)
Republic Act No. 5925, enacted on June 21, 1969, amends the creation of the Municipality of Tarragona in Davao Province. It separates the barrios of Tarragona, Jovellar, Lucatan, Ompao, Tubaon, and Dadong from the municipalities of Mati and Manay to establish Tarragona as a distinct municipality, with its seat of government in Barrio Tarragona. Additionally, the barrio of Tagabakid is transferred back to the Municipality of Mati. The law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on March 16, 1970.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5925
AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FORTY-SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE, ENTITLED "AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF TARRAGONA, PROVINCE OF DAVAO"
SECTION 1. Section one of Republic Act Numbered Forty-seven hundred fifty-five is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 1. Barrios Tarragona, Jovellar, Lucatan, Ompao, Tubaon, Municipality of Mati, and Dadong, Municipality of Manay, Province of Davao, are hereby separated from said municipality, and constituted into a separate and distinct municipality to be known as the Municipality of Tarragona, same province. The seat of government is Barrio Tarragona.
SECTION 2. The barrio of Tagabakid is hereby transferred to the Municipality of Mati, Province of Davao, its former mother municipality. acd
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
