REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1204

AN ACT TO AMEND THE FIRST PARAGRAPH OF SECTION TWENTY-FOUR OF ACT NUMBERED THIRTY-NINE HUNDRED AND NINETY-TWO, AS AMENDED

SECTION 1. The first paragraph of section twenty-four of Act Numbered Thirty-nine hundred and ninety-two, as amended, is further amended to read as follows:

"Sec. 24. Driver's license, fees, examination. — Every person who desires personally to operate any motor vehicle should make application to the Chief, Motor Vehicles Office, or his deputies for a license to drive motor vehicles: Provided, however, That no person shall be issued a professional driver's license unless he has first obtained a police clearance, which shall be issued without charge or fee, from the police department of the city or municipality in which he resides: And provided, further, That no person should be issued a professional driver's license who is suffering from highly contagious diseases, such as, advanced tuberculosis, gonorrhea, syphilis, and the like". casia

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
